The protection of your personal data during collection, processing and use in conjunction with your visit to our website is important to us. Your data is protected in accordance with the legal regulations. The following provides information on what data is collected during your visit to our website and how it is used:
1. Name and contact details of the data controller and data protection officer
Fuchs Umwelttechnik Produktions- und Vertriebs-GmbH
The data protection officer for Fuchs Umwelttechnik Produktions- und Vertriebs-GmbH can be contacted at Gassenäcker 35-39, 89195 Steinberg, Germany, or at the following email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
2. Collection and storage of personal data and nature and purpose of its use
a) When you visit our website
When you visit our website www.fuchs-umwelttechnik.com, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to our web server. This information is temporarily stored in what is known as a log file. The following information is collected without your intervention and stored until it is automatically deleted:
- IP address of the requesting computer,
- Date and time of access,
- Name and URL of the file retrieved,
- Website from which access is made (referrer URL),
- Browser used and, where applicable, operating system of your computer as well as the name of your Internet Service Provider.
The abovementioned data will be processed by us for the following purposes:
- Ensuring ease of connection to the website,
- Ensuring ease of use of our website,
- Evaluation of system safety and stability, as well as
- For other administrative purposes.
The lawful basis for data processing is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest derives from the purposes listed above for data collection. Under no circumstances do we use the data collected for the purpose of identifying you as a person.
Fuchs Umwelttechnik uses products and services for analysis and marketing purposes, which are provided by Visable GmbH (www.visable.com) in cooperation with them. To that end, pixel-code technology is used to collect, process and store data in order to create at least pseudonymised, but where possible and meaningful, completely anonymous user profiles. Data collected, which may initially still include personal data, is transmitted to Visable or is collected directly by Visable and is used to create the aforementioned user profiles there. Visitors to this website are not personally identified and no other personal data is merged with the user profiles.
b) When you register for our newsletter
Users have the opportunity on our website to subscribe to a newsletter. We use a double opt-in process to ensure legal certainty and compliance with data privacy. The potential recipient first receives an e-mail with a confirmation link. Only after receiving confirmation is the address added to the distribution list. You can revoke your consent to the storage of your data and the use of your address for sending the newsletter via the unsubscribe link at the end of each newsletter. The personal data transferred to the data controller when you subscribe to the newsletter comes from the associated sign-up form. When you register for the newsletter, we also store the IP address assigned by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to the computer system you used at the time of registration, as well as the date and time of registration. The collection of this data is necessary in order to be able to trace any (potential) subsequent misuse of a data subject's email address and therefore serves as a legal safeguard for the data controller. The personal data collected when subscribing to the newsletter will be used for the sole purpose of sending out our newsletter. Subscribers to the newsletter may also be contacted by email where this is necessary for the operation of the newsletter service or for registration to it, such as in the event of changes to the newsletter service or changes in technology. The personal data collected as part of the newsletter service will not be passed on to third parties. We use tracking codes in the newsletter (but not in the system emails for subscribing and unsubscribing) to track opening and click rates in order to record the opening of the newsletter and the accessing of web links. These are recorded using a pseudonymised storage system where all personal data (e.g. email address) is replaced with an identification number (pseudonym). This means that we do not store any personal data together with usage data such as the opening of newsletters or accessing of web links. We also ensure that this data cannot be amalgamated at a later date. If you as a recipient wish to object to this pseudonymised tracking, you can unsubscribe from the list by using the opt-out link at the end of each newsletter.
c) When you use our contact form
If you have any questions, you can contact us via a form provided on the website. A valid email address must be provided here so we know who sent the request and can respond to it. Additional information may be provided at your discretion.
Data processing for the purpose of contacting us is carried out in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR based on your freely given consent.
3. Data transfer
Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties for purposes other than those listed below.
We will only pass on your personal data to third parties if:
you have given your express consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR,
the disclosure pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding legitimate interest in your data not being disclosed, in the event that there is a legal obligation to pass on data pursuant to Art. 6(1)(c) of the GDPR, and this is legally permissible and required for the execution of contractual relationships with you pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.
Cookies store details related to the specific device used. This does not mean, however, that they give us direct knowledge of your identity.
We employ cookies on the one hand to improve your experience of using our service. For example, we use so-called session cookies to recognise that you have already visited individual pages of our website. These are automatically deleted after you leave our site.
We also additionally use temporary cookies to optimise user-friendliness. Temporary cookies are stored on your device for a specific period of time. If you visit our site again to make use of our services, we automatically recognise your prior presence and your previous inputs and settings so that you do not have to enter them again.
The data processed via cookies is necessary for the purposes mentioned to safeguard our legitimate interests and those of third parties pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
Most browsers automatically accept cookies. You can, however, configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or so that a message is always displayed before a new cookie is deposited. Complete deactivation of cookies may, however, result in you not being able to use all of the functionality of our website.
5. Analytics tools
a) Tracking tools
The tracking tools listed below are used by us on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. We use them to ensure our website's design is fit for purpose and to support its continuous optimisation. We also use them to capture statistical information on the utilisation of our website and to analyse it for the purpose of optimising our service to you. These interests are considered legitimate within the meaning of the aforementioned regulation.
You can find the individual data processing purposes and data categories under each of the respective tracking tools.
b) Google Adwords Conversion Tracking
We also use Google Conversion Tracking to gather statistical information on the use of our website and to analyse it for the purpose of optimising our website for you. Google Adwords places a cookie (see section 4) on your computer if you have come to our website via a Google advertisement.
These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages on the AdWords customer's website and the cookie has not expired, Google and the customer will be able to tell that the user clicked on the ad and was directed to that page.
Each Adwords customer receives a different cookie. This way, cookies cannot be traced across the websites of Adwords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Adwords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Adwords customers find out the total number of users who have clicked on their ad and were directed to a page with a conversion tracking tag. They do not, however, receive any information that identifies users personally.
c) Google Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics web analytics functionality. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
The placement of Google Analytics cookies is pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise our website as well as advertising, where applicable.
We use Google Analytics in conjunction with its IP anonymization function. This ensures that Google shortens your IP address within member states of the European Union or member states of the European Economic Area prior to transmission to the USA. There may be exceptions where Google transmits the full IP address to a server in the United States and shortens it there. Google uses this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, to create reports on website activity and to provide us with other services relating to website and internet use. The IP address transmitted by Google Analytics is not combined with other Google data.
The acceptance of cookies by your web browser can be prevented. Some of the functionality of our website may be restricted as a result, however. You may also opt out of the collection of data about your website usage, including your IP address, and subsequent processing by Google. You can do this by downloading and installing the browser plugin accessible via the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en-GB.
Objecting to data collection
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be downloaded to prevent your information from being collected on future visits to our website: Disable Google Analytics.
In order to fully comply with legal data protection requirements, we have entered into a processing agreement with Google.
d) Google Web Fonts
Our website uses web fonts from Google. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
The use of these web fonts enables us to display our website to you as we intend it to appear, regardless of which fonts are available to you locally. To do this, Google Web Fonts are retrieved from a Google server in the USA, a process involving an associated transfer of your data to Google. The data in question is your IP address and the page you have visited on our website. The use of Google Web Fonts is pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in the optimal presentation and transmission of our website.
The data controller has integrated elements from YouTube into this website. YouTube is an Internet video portal that enables video publishers to post video clips and other users to view, rate and comment on these clips, all free of charge. YouTube allows the publication of all types of videos such that whole films and television programmes as well as music videos, trailers or videos made by users themselves can be accessed via the Internet portal.
YouTube is operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. YouTube, LLC is a subsidiary of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA.
Each time a page from this website operated by the data controller is retrieved and there is a YouTube element (YouTube video) integrated into that page, the element prompts the web browser on the data subject's device to automatically download from YouTube a thumbnail of the respective YouTube element. Further information on YouTube can be found at www.youtube.com. As part of this technical process, YouTube and Google obtain information about which specific subpage of our website is being visited by the data subject.
If the data subject is simultaneously logged into YouTube, YouTube recognizes which specific subpage of our website the data subject is visiting when they retrieve a subpage containing a YouTube video. This information is collected by YouTube and Google and assigned to the respective YouTube account of the person concerned.
If the data subject is logged into YouTube when they visit our website, YouTube and Google receive a notification via the YouTube element each time the data subject accesses our website, regardless of whether the data subject clicks on a YouTube video or not. If the data subject does want this information to be transmitted to YouTube and Google in this way, they can prevent it by logging out of their YouTube account before accessing our website.
This website uses Google Maps, a product of Google Inc. By using this website, you consent to the collection, processing and use of data gathered automatically by Google Inc, its agents and third parties.
9. Links to other websites
To enhance our online service, we provide links to other websites on our website. Responsibility for content and for data processing on these external websites lies with their respective providers. For information on the extent of personal data collection on these websites, please refer to their privacy policies. You can recognise that you are being forwarded to another website by the fact that a new browser window opens and a new address is displayed in the address bar. Insofar as our website contains links to other websites, we have no influence on their operators' compliance with data protection regulations. Fuchs Umwelttechnik Produktions- und Vertriebs-GmbH is not responsible for the privacy strategies or content of these other websites.
10. Rights of data subjects
You have the right:

to demand in accordance with Art. 18 of the GDPR the restriction of the processing of your personal data if the correctness of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful but you refuse its erasure and we no longer need the data but you need it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, or you have lodged an objection against the processing in accordance with Art. 21 of the GDPR;
to receive any personal data which you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to request its transfer to another controller, in accordance with Art. 20 of the GDPR;
to withdraw your prior consent to us at any time, in accordance with Art. 7(3) of the GDPR. The consequence of this is that we will no longer be permitted to continue the data processing based on this consent in the future, and
to complain to a supervisory authority pursuant to Art. 77 of the GDPR. As a rule, you can do this by contacting the supervisory authority at your usual place of residence or workplace or at our headquarters.
11. Right to object
If your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, you have the right, pursuant to Art. 21 of the GDPR, to object to the processing of your personal data if there are reasons for doing so which arise from your particular situation or if the objection is regarding direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right of objection which is implemented by us without your needing to specify any particular situation.
If you would like to make use of your right to withdraw your consent or to object, simply send an email to email@example.com
12. Data security
When you visit our website, we use the widely-used SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol combined with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. Generally, this is 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we use 128-bit v3 technology instead. You can tell whether an individual page within our website is being transmitted in encrypted form by the key or lock symbol in the lower status bar of your browser.
We also use suitable technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or deliberate manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction, or against unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
